Public Relations / Outreach
Lynne McQuaker brings to LMK PR + Outreach progressive experience in the entertainment industry. Time spent in the theater world in England led to crossing the pond to the U.S. followed by extensive work in the development and production side of the film business with such Industry icons as Robert Redford and Norman Lear and later the film executives at New Line Cinema, as a Development Associate to the Chairman of New Line Productions. Independently, Lynne has worked with writers on the development of screenplays, managed an international composer, and co-produced a $10M musical housed in its own custom-built $10M theater in Italy.
In 2003, Lynne joined Studio Movie Grill (“SMG”) developing many areas of the company from marketing to programming, while contributing and participating in its growth from 1 location in Dallas, TX to 35 locations in 10 states with global licensing. Most recently, as Senior Director, Public Relations + Outreach, Lynne oversaw all communications for SMG from campaigns for successful new theater openings and building awareness for the concept in new markets to promoting its thought leaders and announcing new menus and programs, keeping the SMG brand top of mind.
Establishing SMG’s mission - Opening Hearts and Minds, One Story at a Time® -, Lynne’s passion for creating purpose and building strong community relationships has demonstrated how, with substantial outreach into its communities, the company was able to harness the power of film for good and leave a positive wake while building loyal fans. Embracing outreach and fundraising events and investing in building ties to local non-profits helped to build neighborhood reach and impact and fostered an atmosphere of true conscious capitalism.
Believing that outreach is one of PR’s tools, Lynne’s ability to maximize SMG’s outreach has successfully driven new audiences and trial to the rapidly growing in-theater dining experience. By understanding what its communities and the SMG teams cared about, together they created evangelists and brand loyalty.
Closest to her heart was, for over 17 years, overseeing and growing SMG’s legacy Special Needs Screenings and Chefs for Children menu program, building annual Opening Hearts & Minds Awards internally and externally, creating educational series for underserved children, and the newest Movies + Meals activations as part of SMG’s groundbreaking loyalty program, SMG Access. Reaching inward and supporting its most valued internal SMG community and stakeholders – its teams – was of primary importance and allowed the company to further its purpose as a conscious business and to fulfill its core mission.
Through restructuring, Lynne continued to represent SMG in PR + Outreach as Principal of LMK PR + Outreach. Created during the pandemic, the company strives to better serve a swath of beloved non-profits in addition to other clients. Lynne is a Founding Member of the Senior Leader Network at Conscious Capitalism International.
